Title: Juniper lamp
Post by: Stringman on February 05, 2017, 06:57:44 pm: Joe sent me a section of an old fence post he found on the ranch and suggested it might make a nice lamp base. After discussing it with him a bit I came up with a plan. I cut it in half so I could get the hole bored through and then glued and rejoined it with a myrtle spacer.

After the glue dried, I trued it up and turned it to shape.

Today I had a chance to finish sand it, apply a light coat of tung oil, and mount the hardware. Just needs a lamp shade now.

I have a small mini jet 10x16" and a larger Rockwell delta 14x36"
