This piece is heavily influenced by 1442's wing dinger display. I sure hope you don't mind, I really liked it 1442, had to put my spin on one for Christmas present for my dad this weekend. It's a scrap piece of red oak I cut with jig saw and "knapped on bench grinder. 1 pair of lower jaw bones from my buck I sewed on a muskrat hide. 1 spearheaded halvted to a foreshaft. It's not done yet but I'm really liking it so far.

Cool 8) That has all the elements-- Wood, stone and bone.
Neat use for the jaws.

Thanks Zuma but I really gotta give a lot of the credit to 1442. I'm working on putting it all together yet. Think I'll glue the rat hide on but working on a way to mount foreshaft with bones holding it but have it removable. You forgot one of my favorite materials fur Zuma, it might have a few feathers before it's done too.😊

That's ok Zuma for as much fur as I've taken over the years it's nice to use a little.
Clint, I can't believe you're wife doesn't like it, really my wife always complains about the dead animals I want to hang in the house but she doesn't want me to give this one away. She usually complains but after I hang them she won't give them up.
Thanks Pearl if I get a doe I'm gonna display it like this too.

Nice - I really like that ! Bob

Thanks Simson,Thanks Bob, I made the foreshaft removable. I took two knockle bones from white tail leg bone joint and drilled a hole in one that foreshaft can just nicely slide into. The other I glued to wooden arrowhead base so when foreshaft was in place there is just enough outward pressure to hold it in place. Thanks for looking

I really like the way you mounted that shaft.

Thanks Rob just the way I like it. It's still kinda primitive looking but very simple to use and effective. My wife is really wanting me to keep this one and get my Dad something else.lol. I'll probably get it back some day, hopefully not for a long time though. I can always make another one.
