I have put up a couple of posts already, but I never properly introduced myself. I live in NE Iowa with my wife & two daughters ages 7 & 9. I have shot traditional archery off-and-on since I pulled an old flatbow out of a dumpster in Hardy Creek, MT as my Dad held me by the ankles at the age of 9. I started to shoot more seriously in the past 5 years and this year is my first time deer hunting with a bow (up until now I was using a flintlock). I have successfully made a 50 lbs red oak pyramid board bow an unsuccessfully made a green ash flatbow. I am not giving up though! I am sure I will be on here a lot looking for advice.

Welcome to PA! It's a great community. I am not too far from you in NE Missouri. Good luck with your bowmaking and hunting pursuits. It can be hard with young kids - ours are 13, 11, and 8, and my bowmaking is pretty sporadic lately. (Do you do blacksmithing by any chance?)
