Title: Wanted, bow or almost bow, maybe started stave
Post by: Orrum on November 01, 2016, 10:38:46 pm
I don't have a lot of primitive stuff to trade but I sure would like a bow. Or a almost finished bow or a well started stave maybe. I can trade jewelry or cabochons for making jewelry. I make them from scratch myself. I either rockhound the gemstone myself when I snowbird out west and travel around. Some gemstone rough I trade for. I have turquoise too. I can't seem to post pics unless they are ones sent to me by others of my work. I will try to post a pic of some turquoise pendants I made. If it doesn't work I can email or text the pics, that works real good. Thanks, Bill

So the green Damele piece at top left is about the size of a quarter, I forgot to put a quarter in the picture The findings are hypoallergenic and won't turn you green! LOL  The turquoise is always backed with silver or in this case a thin backing of Devcon steel reinforced epoxy, its black. This prevents the Turquoise from cracking.

Now that would be great!!!  You can crash here if you like. I have not found a surform rasp or files or draw knife or spoke shave yet. I have a stationary belt sander with round end sander, a scroll saw, etc. We can chip here, I have horses so I have a huge center aisle concrete floor. Oh yea horse rasps I have too. Also a wood rasp set that looks like harbor freight. IF you want to pm me I can give you my cell phone number and we can make it happen. I will be in Orlando Fla the 10 thru the 20th. Well actually traveling the 10 thru the 11th.

No I ain't primitive yet but getting there with a little help. I have a high breakage percent on knapping but so far some get finished. Don't keep hardly any since they sell so good.
