I actually completed this bow awhile ago but have yet to post all the pictures as it was a gift for my aunts husband. I should have the FD pic tomorrow. It's 40#@28"...I think ithe may have gained a little weight as well. The bow is 64" ttt....1.5" to midlimb tapering to 3/8" tips. The bow is backed in goat rawhide and painted with paint markers. The grip is tanned alligator skin with a floppy rest. I put a heavy heat treatment on this bow and had to do a lot of steaming to get the handle aligned. My uncles spirit animal is the bear and I tried my best to put a bear on one of the limbs...buuuuuut I think it looks more like a pig .
Uncle Bob is a natural with this bow. He was plugging that hay bale like nobody's business. I don't think anybody would have appreciated this bow anymore.

Nice hickory stick. How does it shoot?
-
Like the artwork!
-
Nice bow like the art also
-
It shoots good enough for what my uncle is doing with it. I think it would easily kill a deer 15 yds and in. Do any of you find that bows with snakey limbs don't perform as well as a straight limbed bow?
I have since made my hickory bows wider to start (1.75 -2"). I have a pyramid bow started right now at 2" tapering straight to the tips. I'm gonna try my hand at recurring the tips as well.

Thank you for the kind words as well gentlemen. 8)

Ajooter very nice bow and art work I'm sure the Uncle will love it. By the way pigs feet are split hooves not claws😃😃😃 just kidding I like the claws and the bear design in the paw is cool

Very cool stik Ajooter. I really dig your art work too, you really know how to set off a bow.
-
Sweet bend
-
work on this bow and cool finish.

There's no doubt in my mind that bow will kill big game @ 15 yards.Placement being the key.I really don't see much difference in performance between snaky and straight limed bows if side view resting profiles are the same.Snaky and straight both do the job.

I love the artwork on this bow! Great job! I see the bear, but nothing wrong with a pig either. Possibly man bear pig?
