I just finished up this bow, it was my first attempt at applying snake skins to a bow. I found this blow snake dead in the road, it was pretty well tore up, I salvaged what I could.
This elm bow is 52" ntn, its 42#@25", I painted the whole back with yellow earth pigment paint, then I applied the snake skin. It has antler tip overlays, brain tanned smoked buckskin for the handle wrap, top with B-50 string with beaver fur silencers.

Great looking bow Marlin, nice tillering job! What's the length ntn? The bow looks like it would be perfect for hunting in tight cover.

DesertDisciple Ya these skins do look pretty cool.
Thanks Forest Farmer this bow is 52 inches nock to nock. I works pretty good in ground blind I might try hunting a turkey with it.

Redhand, as Northern Ute are we neighbors? I live in Utah.
Siberian elm grows all over here, and I have made so many bows and attempts with it. I LOVE what you did on this one.
-
Just a beautiful bow!
All of the elements of this bow fit together and compliment each other nicely.
