Hi Everyone.
I have fitted some waterbuffalo horn nocks to a holly bow - very strong colour contrast, literally black on white. The joint is not quite perfect, not quite straight and a 0.5mm gap at one point where the bow flattens off across the back and where the horn nock was cut too big around. Any advice on fixing a teeny gap on a horn nock? Did think about filling with cyano and charcoal?

Fine horn filings mixed with clear epoxy (plenty of horn, fairly dry mix).
If you have that problem again where the back is V flat, a good trick is to glue on a thin overlay of matching wood to bulk up the tip and the n file it round, it can be blended gradually into the flat back.
