I haven't posted any bows in ages so here are a couple I've just finished up. A pyramid and a flipped tip/recurve. Both are 45#@27. The pyramid shoots 10 gpp arrows at around 170 - 175 fps. It has self nocks, Samba deer antler inlaid arrowpass and textured leather grip. The recurve shoots 10gpp arrows at 175 - 180fps. It has deer antler overlays and the same deer inlaid arowpass and leather handle.

Those are some smooth looking bows. Nice work!
-
Like them both. Very nice Sir!
-
Great looking bows Mike. What length are they?
-
Absolutely stunning bows mate! :)
-
Nice work. I like your style.
-
very nice bows, like it. Hans
-
Excellent bows, the bow I hold the broadhead record with is shooting about the same speed as these bows.
-
Beautiful work, Osage sure looks like great wood, too bad I can't find any here in Brazil and it would be a rip off to import it from the States.

Knotty, I don't know how old you are but I bet if uyou planted some there in about 15 years you might have some excellent bow wood. I would be curious how the rings would grow in Brazil.
-
2 very nice bows.
-
Mike I really like the looks of those two bows. Osage is so nice to work and has such a nice color. You have a great touch.
-
Wow you nailed both of those bows. Good work.
-
Nice looking tiller on those hedge sticks there.

@Badger , I'm 16 (17 in December) ,
Well .. I mean .. I'll have wood for when I'm in my thirties... 😂
That's not a problem, we have family property in a country area,
was actually thinking of reforestation in one of the spots there, could plant trees and leave 'em there forever pretty much.
Now , the one million dollar question: Where the heck am I gonna find Osange Cuttings or propagating mediums here in Brazil?
Unless someone's kind enough to gift me some seeds? 😉
-
I might still have 100 seeds I haven't used. I will check. If not I am sure it would be no problem to round some up for you. They have a quick germination time and need to be moved to larger pots very quickly as they get root bound. Once they establish themselves I doubt you would ever have to water. You might want to stake and train them to grow straight. If they get too crooked you can simply cut them off and let a staight sucker take over. I usually get close to 100% germination, very easy to grow trees.

very nice bows, thanks for posting the chrono results,, :)
-
Great looking osage bows and great performance stats too.
-
Amazing @Badger !
Thanks !
-
Those are real beauties! Nicely done. Jawge
-
Very nice looking bows and impressive speeds.
-
Those are some sweet bows. Love those handles too.
-
Great looking shooters! Really love those grips too!
-
Sweet! I like everything about them.

That sucks, Osage is great and the bows made from it only get better with age, they turn from a yellow to a beautiful brownish orange honey color.
-
Nice work Mike :)

Knotty - trust me your thirties are just around the corner! Get some seeds sown! You can get osage seeds off ebay for not much at all. I've got some growing now but they don't seem too keen on our conditions...
Cheers guys.
The recurve is 62 ntn and the pyramid is 64ntn. I probably would have gone a little shorter if these were for me but they are for a customer so I tend to leave things a little less stressed for peace of mind. Still they perform plenty good enough. A little thud when shooting....but i'm a picky sod....;) and I've only been shooting my Turkish hornbow which has literally no handshock at all due to the short bending limbs. Anyway they are off to their new owner now and I hope he likes them.
I just realized I hadn't burnished the joint in the grip leather so they look a bit better now ;)
-
Cheers Del :)
-
Very nice bows, just my style. ;)

Nice pair of bows. I really like the handles.
-
Two great looking bows. I love the use of antler on the tips and arrow pass. Great job!
-
smmmooooothe lookin bows, nice work
-
Both great looking bows. Love everything about them.
-
Oh man, "Your 30's are right around the corner" ..
Stop scaring me people! 😅
But yeah, I'll see, if Badger sends me a few seeds , that's great, if not.. I'll have to buy them somewhere 😉
-
Absolut great bows! Flawless execution, congrats Mike.
-
Beautiful pair of bows Sir.
-
Beautiful work! Those are some impressive speeds. are the relexed at unbraced?
-
Thanks fellas :) They were fun to make.
Carson - when I chronoed them I wasn't expecting such good numbers. The pyramid sits dead straight and the recurves tips are slightly behind the handle, both had no heat treating.
-
2 beauties there bud. Are they sister staves?
-
Lookin' good Mike.
