Made some new arrows for 3D season. Found a 2x4 in my dads wood shop with good grain and table sawed 39 blanks. Of those 27 are free of knots. I hand planed a dozen and sanded them all to +-2# of each other. Add some spray paint and model paint and 6 have the Murica flag idea going and 6 have the easy to find look. Only 6 fit in my taper tool so apparently I made some a little thick. They shoot right on! My target spins around with each shot and I change my distance and position every time. High hopes for the 3D season!

DF fills the bill for me too most times.Sometimes in these old old houses there are doors that are the old douglas fir.Thin ringed etc.Very nice shafts from them.

I prefer DF over PO if I have my choice I also like Alaskan spruce ,they make some fine arrows also. looks like them shoot mighty fine to me. ;)
