Title: my grandsons first self bow and arrows

made this set for his 10th birthday. Post oak bow and birch arrows.

He will love that and will remember it forever. If I'd had that when I was 10 there would've been a lot of house cats introuble. That's probably why I didn't have one come to think about it.

now thats too cool, right there.  Last time I did something for my grandsons....got accused of tryin to kill 'em......was a 3 spring catapult, threw melon sized snowballs >:D bad grandpa

I went to Hobby Lobby and bought balls that had an 1/8" hole part of the way in and opened it to 5/16.
TBII it on.
Hey Rich, yea my son was against guns for a while . Now open to them and the bow set.

That is excellent.  I was given a dogwood stick and string when I was ten and it is still influencing my life 57 years later.  Congrats Grandpa!

Thanks Guys. It was fun to do. We will give it to him next month. They live 3 hours north of us. Our only grandson.
We have 5 granddaughters. :D

That is fantastic, be sure to post a picture of him drawing the bow.
I have 4 1/2 grandaughters, and have made bows for the two oldest so far. Hopefully all of them will like to shoot.

Completed set with quiver.  I hope I can get a picture of his face . 8)
