I recently did an ELB and someone had said that he'd never actually seen a video of someone rough out a stave on a bandsaw.
So, I videoed that, and having done so decided to follow the whole process through to the finished bow.
It's 10 videos, most pretty short but some about 10 minutes.
It was a lot of work and I won't do it again!
Hopefully it's a useful source for relative newbies and I've tried to show stuff that other people gloss over or ignore.
The list of links is on my blog here:-

Please feel free to put comments on Youtube, as it's good to get quality feedback.

(If now't else you can chuckle at my funny accent ;) )
BTW. Admin, please feel free to move it to the How to/build along section if considered appropriate.

Del it is nice to put a face and a voice to a name. Makes me want to come hang out with you--or invite you to Utah!--you are welcome any time. Also make me want to try some yew.

I will most likely never get my hands on some yew but it was pleasure watching you shape that piece into a bow. This 'sickness' is definitely a global problem

Awesome videos, thanks for sharing Del

Watched them all already too :D I really liked the vid were you "horned" the bow I've seen other people doing that on video but no one ever explained the're method or even had a good close up while doing it :'( thanks for fixing that :)

I'd like to see a full yew war bow build. From stave to finished bow.
Would get thousands of views! ;)
Pass on that knowledge buddy ;D

Thanks guys. I don't think I'll do another, it's rather time consuming.
A warbow would be exactly the same process, just starting roughed out a bit bigger but still pulling to target weight at every stage...
It would need stringer grooves too.
There are a few warbow builds on the blog, where the tillering can be seen progressing.

No, do another! You're the man for the job when it comes to English longbows.
