It has that fire opal look to it inside the rock. I would just hate to wreck the rock if it can't be knapped so I thought I would ask others if they have tried it.

Post by: JEB on November 06, 2015, 07:04:29 pm: I am taking the box of rocks that I got with me to Mike Cooks on Sunday to a knap in. I may let Mike take on the challenge. He needs to cook up to Mookaite and P-wood for me anyway so maybe I will make a trade with him.

it's wicked looking rock, but does it need to be polished in order to present those colors?

i guess you could slab, knap, polish just enough to get the effect?
