Title: European skull mount

I tried this and it was easy and worked awesome, I removed the head and buried it so that the rack was about 3 to 4 inches under ground, put a mark on it so I would know where it was. Come back about the middle of summer dug it up and took a water hose to it. I think I'm going to put in on a old piece of barn wood. I'll put another photo when its all done.

How did you keep it from being disturbed by vermin? Around here, even in my backyard it would last about 2 nights before being discovered and destroyed.

I didn't do anything, I think it was because I buried it with the rack standing up so the head was at the bottom of the hole with all the dirt on top of it. I did have the hole ready to go so I could just drop it in. I did it out in the woods of  the good state of Indiana. To be honest I was worried about something digging it up but nothing messed with it.

I've recently learned you can put a head into a large fire ant mound and they will eat every bit of remaining flesh off in a few days. You might have to try that next!
