I think I'm ready for hunting season! I've been shooting at least 3 dozen shots a night. I can't shoot too many more because my shoulders have been pretty sore, my left one especially. But I'm hitting the target nicely! Alright Mr deer, 20 yards or less! Patrick
This is from 20 yards!

Thanks Mike!

I have shot for years, I use to compete with wheel bows back in the day. I've just been really practicing more here lately. Don't worry DC keep at it and you will get it. Patrick

Nice shooting Patrick. Keep it up and work on the 25 yards more. Now, lets see how you shoot with a deer out in front of you. ;)
-
Thanks Pat! It worked out last year. But it's hard to miss when they are close enough to spit on. >:D
Yeah the 25 wasn't the best I've shot. I'm a snap shooter so sometimes I forget to get to full draw and anchored. Something I'm trying to work on. Patrick

When I find that I am snap shooting I will purposely hold for a second before releasing instead of shooting when my anchor is reached. After a few of these I can usually go right back to the quick release.

Thanks Pat, I will take note of that and report back this evening after my shooting session. Patrick

Good shooting, nothing like going into the wood with confidents in your shooting. :)

We dunno about huntin' in the UK... so can I ask?
... are the arrows with the pink fluffy bits for shooting Lady Deers? ::) >:D ;)
Del
( Nice shooting... dunno if I could group like that at 10yards >:( )
-
We call that Salmon color here in the states. ;) You have to feel really secure in you man hood to shoot them in a crowd Del. ;) :) good group Patrick. :)

Never thought about that Del! Maybe an unwritten rule!
Pappy your right!
Funny thing is I got this arrows in a trade at the classic this year. Patrick

I like the "salmon" colored tracers.....I use a lot of those at 3D shoots helps me find my arrows "behind" the targets.. ;D.
And I think I'm secure Pappy... ;D ;) but I do have to be prepared to take a "little" ribbing.. :)

Patrick, I think you are making a mistake... when you start shooting tight groups like that, you also start shooting off nocks and fletchings or otherwise damaging your expensive arrows. Practicing less will prevent wanton waste of good arrows ;)
Just kidding, that is good shooting. I am not there yet, but working on it.

Thanks loope, we will see when I get back home on Tuesday. I slammed my truck door with just the tip of my right pointer finger in it. Hurt like hadies, but it seems to be healing pretty good. Patrick

You better be in shooting condition by next weekend mate. If all goes according to plan, I got lots ob bows I built to shoot and test, and I got something special for you to shoot :) and I aint telling you what it is :P
-
Oh I'll be able to shoot! That is for sure!
OK your killing me, what is it!?!?
