Here is my newest bow, made to order. White oak, backed with hemp fibers and rawhide, mild recurves, 48# @ 30". Length is 177 cm and width is 42 mm at the widest point.
I really liked this bow, it was fun to make, sweet to draw and shoot and appearance is ok too. I should make this kind of bow for me too!

Agreed! Beautiful weapon. I like the look of the cordage around the fades a lot.

I like simple bows but sometimes it is fun to make some extra, like here the mild recurves, wrappings and raw hide backing.

Is this white oak board or a stave?
How did you make the recurves? Steam? Dry heat?
