Title: Spalted blackjack oak - mojam trade
Post by: lebhuntfish on July 05, 2015, 07:03:25 pm: Hey fellas I happened onto some spalted blackjack oak from some storm damage at my folks house. I took quite a bit home and 1/4 sawed it into slabs 1 1/4in thick. They are still the size of the block because I want them to dry a good bit before I cut them down any further. They will make some beautiful knife scales, riser blocks, overlays, pistol grips and what ever else you can think of. I would be willing to trade for just about anything at mojam. I will be bringing the blocks.

After they dry out I will be cutting them into knife scales for trade. I will also be making a few things out of them for myself and family. Patrick

OK bud, it will be at least a couple of weeks before I get the scales cut down. I'm going to let them dry a bit in the size they are. I'll be at mojam all next week too. I'll get with you asap. Patrick
