Had a variety of shaft material, some turkey feathers and sinew so I made up a few arrows over the last couple months. Some two fletch, some three, all with self nocks and field points for now. After shooting them over the past few weeks there are 4 of the seven that fly so nicely that they will have to be set aside
to receive hunting points this fall.

The airy feathers ya add to front of your fletchings looks nice ... even more so in person.

Nice arrows Greg

Lookin' good Greg. We need to get together and shoot soon.
-
Yeah Greg,
Man those look great!
I also, like using glue on field points to find the best shooting arrows before hunting season, then add a broadhead of the same weight, sometimes the broadhead is not heavy enough, then I add weight with a nail in the end of the shaft. another reason why I like cane or boo shafts.
But, I really want to learn and get some experience with shoot shafts. I got some access to a lot of arrow viburnum I want to try.
again cool arra's.

Very nice work. Which 4 are the good flyers?

Nice looking arrows Greg. Your bows and arrows are works of art.

Nicely done

Thanks Mike & Aaron
Dan, Steve is going to let me know about a couple local trad./primitive shoots coming up, we'll give you a holler in advance and we can go out and lose some arrows.
Bill, if I had your arrow making skills they would all be shooters. :)
Clint, No. 3 the dogwood is the best, Pauly gave me that shaft and he already had it straightened for me.
The two arrowwod and the green garden stake bamboo fly nice as well. The two hill canes were my fault
because I didn't spend enough time straightening them and didn't temper 'em to keep 'em straight. I'll probably scrape the finish off those and redo 'em.
Thanks Paul & DC

Thanks Rob, Howard, Mark, Tracy and Bob
Thanks bubby, I think I'm set on points for the fall, only broke one from the last batch you knapped for me last season when I missed a turkey and buried it in a tree root. :(
Chris I suspect one of us will connect on this years hunt and a celebration will follow along with a feast of venison in camp, late Oct. can't come soon enough for me.
