Title: in the B B Vol. 2 they talk about getting boo backing from blinds ?

Hi, i recall the bowers bible talking about a good source of bamboo backing strips cheaply is from bamboo blinds, does anyone know a brand of blinds that work good and where to order ? thanks

The blinds they talked about were made from bamboo slats about 1/4" to 1/2" wide and you place a few of them, side by side, to cover the back. I don't know if there is a particular brand or not but I'd look at Good Will or other thrift shops for used ones first.

Oh ok, i have had one old pair of blinds that had the right size boo all around, they are long gone now i gave them away long ago but they were 9 ft long and about 2 inches wide.. if only to find those again.

Echo Archery has 6 foot long by 2" wide  bamboo backing for $12.

I also heard vertical cut bamboo flooring works as well. If you know a flooring guy he might be able to score you a few pieces.
