Ok , it's been a while since I've really sat down to break some rock. Lately I've spent a few weekends bow hunting w/ Nathaniel ( Sasquach) on his family's ranch in Concan Tx. It's a blast. He has some of the most unique looking stone on that property. It's tough stuff raw, but when heated it's like butter. Here is a point from one type of his stone.

Wow great stuff! I've been experimenting with some stuff from San Antonio that I got on a hog hunt. So far so good! I love the way you finished out the notches! And nice and thin too!

You haven't missed a beat Don. Good stuff as usual. Chris and I have another winter here in Michigan before we can get back out your way.

Love the very fine serrations on the edges. And that material looks really slick. That's about as pretty as they get.
-
Nice to see your work again, Don! Good on you for taking time to hunt.
-

Thanks for the shout out 8) I have watched him make points like this for some time and he still blows my mind every time. I might have the stone but i cant make them look like his.. (yet >:D)

Very pretty.

I'd love to sit down and see how he gets it that then pressure flaking.
-
Sweet!!!

Don, you are good, very good.

Thank ya'll for the kind words. . Everything seemed to workout with this point, almost. It was at one time about 4" long & 3" wide. Initially I'd planned on making an Andice point. But when I heated it I crazed about 2/3rds of the blank.

Y'all have never been dusty in your life...

Various point trades and such and I have some of yours and bonepile , and Cowboys points . Goodness gracious, hardly a day goes by I do not pick them up and wonder at that craftsmanship and aspire to such beauty. This one is another such. You guys really inspire. Thanks for sharing this. " Frank
