Title: What are the dates for OJAM 2015?
Post by: Sidewinder on December 03, 2014, 08:30:09 am: I'm sure Poggins will answer this but have a few people asking?

If you haven't been your missing out on a great gathering. Just south of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Lots of great bow making, fun shoots and instruction to those new, intermediate and advanced. Sponsered by the Oklahoma Selfbow Society. This is the 10th year. Be there or be square,.lol

CORRECTION - I was able to get there on my phone - so it must be our corporate FW up to it's normal tricks.

I have a yin to try my hand at that, but would rather do it with someone that's been there a few times ahead of me. :) I'll be bringing a supply of 'wild' bamboo I cut and dried to mess around with.

Post by: Poggins on March 17, 2015, 09:19:32 pm: I think Doc will be doing a demo on arrows , there will be folks there working on arrows some breaking rock and a lot of bows being worked on , we have some new targets for the 3D corse , the OSS has a trad shoot as well as the clout shoot Sat and the kids rattan bow give away Sat .

I'm still having some trouble my phone and the PA forum , freezes up a lot , I don't have that trouble any where else .

They have a 100% chance of rain tonight so it looks like I'll be wearing my rubber boots while we set up everything tomorrow , we need the rain though .

Post by: Poggins on March 20, 2015, 12:28:14 am: Even with the rain we have a lot if folks started on their bows , even saw a little girl heading to the range to shoot a bow she built today , love it when the kids can stay at it long enough to get one done .
Danny ( Sidewinder ) is here also , got a chance to catch up with him a little today .

I had no idea there was this many people into tradition archery. even in oklahoma I would not have thought I would see this many people. deffinetly gonna comeback next year. try and talk the wife into bringing the tent and camping out one night. got some good advice for making my latest bow better. took the advice and shot it the next day. now it feels perfect. thanks OSS folks. ya'll the best.

The rain made the mud prodigious - but all in all, this was a very kewl event.
