Working on three of the two button cross over type. Two adult and one child.
Anybody have a bit of heavy gauge stretch cord?

Wouldn't some paracord work? That should be readily available at big box stores or possibly hardware stores. I would like to make arm guards like that, but don't have a rivet tool...I just caved in and got one of the nice ones from Echo Archery.

Check your local walchina sporting goods. I picked some up there where the tent stakes are for repairingone of my multi piece tent stakes. Timbo, they also sell a tool to set the eyelets in the sewing section. Looks like pliers with funny looking jaws.

Find a good shoe repair shop, and ask for speed lacing hooks for boots, you don't need a rivet tool, put some splits in them and hammer them tight.

You can buy 15 feet for $1.87 at Joann's fabrics.

Go to a sporting goods store and ask for Coleman's Bungee Cord Cargo Net. You'll have to unravel it, undo the knots and remove the hooks. The cord is one long piece when you get done. It takes a while but you get quite a lot of stretch cord to use.
