Title: limb twist?

Hey all!,dose limb twist affect the performance of a self bow?i have 2 bows with serious limb twist induced by me to line up snake staves as to dIsect the arrow pass.these bows shoot well,as straight as an arrow  :P

If they shoot well, straight as an arrow I'd call 'em good.  Performance isn't my forte though.  You would think intuitively it would have some effect but as long as the tiller is even I don't think it would.  Be interested to see what others say about this one cause I have some twists myself and most of 'em weren't on purpose ;)

By pure mechanical logic the twist will steal energy...but imo that wont matter unless you want a recordsetting flightbow .
So bottomline..if it feels good it is :)

Twist doesn't matter in the slightest, IF it stays the same from un-braced to braced to full draw.
(IMO of course)
My go to field bow is called Twister  :laugh:

Just be careful bracing them, they like to kick strings sometimes when bracing. Other than that, Id agree its all fine.
