Here's the first Snyders I have made.....I still am all about Dalton's, but a little variety doesn't hurt. It's 4" long and 2.5 wide. Obsidian is a little tricky for me because it's so darn soft, but this rock wasn't too bad.

That's a nice one. It looks like a nice piece of ribbon obsidian that is real translucent.
Great work DK.

Pretty lookin point. Some look killer...some look mean...some look pretty

Perfect symmetry! I've been wanting to make some of those but chert. Getting those notches right is trickier than I thought.

Apparently some folks have a great eye for where notches go. I am not one of them. I have to make one notch and then lay something flat across the bottom of the point from the notch I made to where the other notch should go and then mark it or remove a small marking flake. Otherwise, I wind up with crazy stuff.
Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Excellent looking Snyders, the base is spot on , It's harder to do than it looks, ask me how I know :o Bob

I'll bite - How do you know, Bob?
(PS - Thanks - I had to look at a lot of pictures and there is a lot of variation!)
