I live in Wisconsin, and to my knowledge there isn't much around here for knappable stone. Where can I find a good source. I find arrowheads in my area and some are of high grade cherts which I imagine were traded from out of state sources. I seldom find chips or flakes large enough for my own use. Any thoughts?

3Rivers Archery has some rock for sale. I know some other sites that have it for sale but are not sponsors on PA. If there are any knap ins close to you, try going to them. I was at one knap in and actually found a guy that lived about 30 miles from my house that sells heat treated rock. Drove 2 hours to a knap in to find out there was a source 30 minutes away :)
Look up "Chert for sale" or "novaculite for sale" and there should be several sites come up.
Good luck!
