That's amazing! Is the artwork done by hand?
-
Man Francesco, that is one of the nicest bows I have seen. Great job. What was the time investment for somethining like that? The tiller looks great.
-
(throws down bow tools and runs screaming into a tree) thats it !!! i quit!!! i cant take it!!! yall kniw i like simple unadorned bows but this bow is sick!!!! im done ..its over..and god bless...i mean for real.....the bar ..has been raised slightly yall....lmbo!! just beautiful.

A Stunning example of a Turkish bow.
Are the horn strips going all the way to the tips base? I haven't managed to get any that long yet especially for a 47 inch bow! Just out of curiosity did you use matching or non-matching grooves?
-
My god Francesco, beautiful composite!. Is that gold leaf on the limbs? I wish there were more composites posted on this site. It is the ultimate test of bowbuilding. I must now ask, how fast does it cast arrows of different weights?
-
Very nice - WOW ! Bob

ABsolutely masterpiece,
no words for such incredible work!
one question Francesco, does the siyah open out when braced / drawn?
-
Thanks. Decoration is handpainted using brass/bronze powder mixed with varnish. I guess it took about 100 hours to make the bow. I didn't use grooves, only 60 grit sandpaper to scratch the surface lengthwise. I don't know how fast it shoots but it's a quite conservative bow. The "kasan eye" straightens up at full draw but the static recurves are, well...static :)
-
Wow! Yea, I have a comment, Absolutely Gorgeous! Two thumbs up.
-
Real REAL nice!!!
-
That's awesome. A composite bow is my next goal in bow making.
-
Very nice.

Looks like the work of an absolute master.

Your paint work is always inspiring, and this is no exception. I especially like the variation in line weight you've added on this one. It creates a lot of depth.
Thank you for sharing!
-
That is an incredible bow! The paint work is mesmerizing... I cant imagine how beautiful that is in the hand.
-

The art work is way beyond bowyery. Some of the best bowyers in the world cant do anything like that after the bow is done. That is a whole other set of skills and talents way beyond my comprehension.
-
That is incredible. Gorgeous
-
When I call this a Master's work, I am not exaggerating. Back in the day, I am fairly sure they had numerous craftsmen doing their individual jobs in order to turn out a single bow. But in this bow, it is the work from start to finish by one Master Craftsman.
Thank you for being so passionate about what you do. And thank you for sharing.
-
Exceptional example of a Turkish bow. Well done!!! 8)

I'm amazed, inspired and possibly have dirty drawers now, that's a truly beautiful piece of artwork from the curves to the paint job....wow

-
I do not have the words to describe the beauty...no, awe inspiring elegance of this functional art.
You have a gift that most would spend a lifetime achieving.
I would have to say that this bow is in the top 2-3 that I have ever seen!!!!!!
