I started this one at Marshall, MI and finished her up at home. I reflexed it on P/D's form which really helped. It holds around 3/4" of reflex. It is a fun little bow to shoot. It is the shortest bow I have made so far and I think it has become my favorite. It has over 20 knots throughout the entire length. I was originally going to make a bendy handle out of it but kept a short stiff section in the middle. I used a wine cork to form the arrow shelf. I am really happy with how this one shoots and it really spits an arrow out for a 42# bow. I would definately take this deer hunting.

I had to google the word katniss. I typically don't hold my finger out there but, with trying to get a photo I had to hold full draw and didn't want the arrow to go anywhere.

I love all the character. Her flat profile and beautiful bend tells it all. 8)

Thanks for all the compliments. I just realized I didnt put a braced shot in there so here you go. Does anyone recognize what kind of tree it is hanging in?

Beautiful bow !!!
I just love the looks of these osage bows..

Sweet. Unbraced is really nice. Love this one!

Another fine bow from the Marshall gathering, I remember seeing you working on that one Ryan. Man you did a killer job with that osage, love the way it came out brother.

Oh yea Ryan, I love seeing them narrowed tips! great tiller :)
-
Nice bow Ryan! That's the way to make them tips. Well done

Really nice work! That looks like a first rate deer hunting bow to me. It's short enough to be easy to carry in the woods and bows in the low forties have great advantages. You won't strain yourself drawing it after you have been sitting still for a long time, they are usually quieter on release than those big thumpers, and plenty of umph to put a deer down. You have got something there!!

Nice work, look at all those knots!
-
Great bow, just enough character to be interesting without carrying a tone of dead weight of knots (And some of those holes we see can be heavy too ;) )

Nailed it man! Great tiller. That caul seems to be a wiener. I think at least 4 bows went on it that weekend. They look goofy coming off it, but sweeter n' candy after they are tillered out. Great bow Ryan.

Very nice Ryan!

Nice work Ryan! I'm surprised you found that bow in your car with all the other staves you had loaded in there from Marshall! ;D
Hope all is well, see ya at Elm hall?
