Welcome to PA!! Not sure about tamarisk. I'd start with a board bow if you've never done any tillering before. But It's up to you. I'm sure someone will chime in with more input.

Tyke has tillered bows before. He is the person who got me into this.

It's always good to know who to blame!

Cool! In that case, I say go for this tamarisk bow...cause I've never seen a bow made from this wood. Looking forward to it.

I don't mean to hijack, but this is the hardest, heaviest wood I have seen, although it seems like it is easy for him to work. I got some for arrows. Tyke is a stud. He makes all sorts of hand made items. Bows, Mocks, Leather bags, Hand made leather guitar straps, and some really great spirits.

You can post 6 pics per post, but only 200kb maximum size per pic.

I use MS Paint to resize photos which is pretty easy, if you do a search on it you should get some steps on how to do it.

Here is his bow. He texted me a photo earlier.

If you have a windows based PC you can download Picasa for free, then with the photo open click File, and then Export to folder, you can set the image size to whatever you want.
