Hello! I am new to Primitive archer. This is my first bow, made this winter while in Missouri at my grandparents house with Wylden Freeborne looking over my shoulder. (he's my dad) It was a very fun and educational experience. I made the bow from Pacific Yew that Weylin, Carson and my dad harvested in Oregon. The bow's name is Grey Fox, named because it's first "kill" was a grey fox target at a traditional archer's range. The handle is a "strunk wrap" made from cow leather and the arrow shelf is deer antler. The string silencers are rabbit fur. It pulls at 18 pounds at my draw length, which is around 18 inches. Thanks for looking and any tips is appreciated! P.S. I swapped out the pictures for better ones. I hope that is alright with everyone!

Yeah! 8) I'm very proud of you Ophelia! There are plenty of grown ups that never finish their first bow. you are already kicking butt on your second one. I was impressed with how hard you were working on it at the gathering. Can't wait to see your osage bow when it's finished. Keep up the good work.

It is a struggle to find words for my pride and blessings with this girl as my daughter. To see someone take the craft so seriously and at the same derive so much joy from it is the exact reason trees were made to bend. I love ya fair bear. Let's go kill dinner.
