I am a bit late posting a thread for my trade bow I received from Bob . Better late than never.
Chris (blackhawk) will be along soon to post up the pictures
I could not believe my eyes when I opened up the tube and slid a hhb out . With trapped limbs and just the right amount of character . I never did measure it but I would guess 67" 55@28 flat out shoots great and fast. Nicely done leather wrap handle .
Bob you sir are a master at making selfbows this hhb is jaw dropping nice.
I took it to a bow shoot already and scored higher than I usually do with a glass bow. Shot a 208
But all in all this was a great bow trade again for me this year . To bad its over. But I am very happy with my bow . Thank you so much rps3 .

Your welcome Bob, I sure am glad you like it. I have struggled in the past with hhb, this was my best so far. And thank you Chris for the compliment and for posting the pictures. I didn't get the title of this thread at first Bob , but once I did it made me laugh...good one. And thanks IdahoMatt and Crogacht.

I can't remember what wood the tip overlays are. But you should see them in the sunlight . Maybe Bob will chime in and tell us again.
-
Great bow Bob's!
-
Wow beautiful bow!
-
Thank you all for your comments, it is good to be part of the trade agin this year. Bob, the tip overlays are made of flooring samples labled rosewood, but I read rosewood can mean different things.
-
Awesome looking bow! Congrats!
-
That's right rosewood.
The stuff is amazing looking in the sun.
Thanks for all the kind words. I love the bow trades .
-
Really nice looking bow. What was it stained/dyed with?
-
Not sure what Bob stained it with or his technique. But I would love to no how to do it like that.
-
Black leather dye and varathane brand cabernet wood stain. The hardest part is getting the leather dye to blend, need to be quick while it is still wet.
-
Very nice bow, congratulations to both of you!
-
Great looking bow, I really like the dye job.
-
does anyone know of any bow trades happening in Australia? If so please notify me.
