Her second attempt ended in a yew explosion, she gave it another go, and ended up with a really nice shooting bow.
Its 59" ntn, and a hair over 35#@26. she did all the tool work, and she sure loves him. Its named after her grandpa,

Sweet I like back with the texture & color above & below the handle very nice bow!
-
That is a nice looking bow - she did good. I too was curious as the back you have on there? Looks cool.
-
Fine looking bow. Tell us about the backing - looks great.
-
That is awesome! I wish my wife wanted to make a bow.....On second thought, no I don't. I like my alone time in the shop ;)
-
Very nice sir! Sweet bend for sure.
-
That's awesome! Kudos to your wife. My wife has been making noises about making a bow. I hope she's serious. ;D
-
Yes it's cherry bark on the back of the handle. Even just that amount added some weight and she had to re-tiller.
-
very nice!
-
Finally gave her some decent wood to work with eh
Looks good
-
Looks like she knows what she's doing. Great looking bow :)

-
Very nice bow. I like the cherry bark accent but the whole package is spot on. Tell your wife(does she have a name?) congratulations. 8)
-
That's a really nice bow, I to like the cherry backing. What I like even more is that she named it after her grandpa! That is awesome!
-
her names Olivia, and she is for sure bit by the bug as well.
Its pretty fun sharing the hobby with her, but we'll need a bigger shop soon!
her first bow is an old growth yew longbow, named after her other grandpa Fred.
both were loggers and lovers of wood, and both would of loved to see her take after them I'm sure.
cheers!
-

-
Very nice, Roger and Fred would be proud.
