got some wood off a shipping pallett from India..was holding floor tile...already made a tiller stick from one piece...any ideas what its called? besides wood of course....lol
-
pic!
-
Have end grain?
-
All I see is a concrete floor with some cracks in it
-
Is that picture wood? It looks like a floor tile that is stacked on top of it :P
I don't expect a lot of people here know their Indian woods... Pallets are always made from locally available wood species. So it will be very difficult for us to make a guess on the species.
Just do a bend test. Maybe not as sophisticated as Tim Baker prescribes, but any sort of bend test will tell you a lot about the quality of the wood. Much more than some wild guesses here on Prim.Archer.

that is a closeup of the wood itself...will take pic of endgrain..i kinda knew it was a longshot since the wood is from india...but...if ya dont ask ...you dont get.
