I managed to get these 2 bows done. An old friend of mine has been waiting for ever. These are for his two teenage boys. One is called the elk bow, the other the bear bow. Due to the boy's dream hunts being elk and bear. Thanks Ed, for the elk hide! I ended up not using very much, but will make something else as well. They are both around 50#. The elk bow is red oak, and the bear bow is ash. Both backed with fabric, and the bear bow also has a little birch bark on the back. They also have accents of brain tanned deer hide, and a little paint. Thanks for lookin.

I'm leaving here in a few to go drop them off. Just finished up some arrow for them. If he's got his boys with them I'll get a pick or 2 of them with the bows. Thanks for all the nice comments.

I'm with bubby on that first bow's profile. So simple but so pleasing to the eye. The trim work really brings them together!
