First post in a long time...
Purchased this Dean Torges style Nicholson bowyer's rasp from 3Rivers a time back; a tool I highly recommend!
It came with a real crappy set of handles that I just finished to change.
-
Very cool Frank! And durable, good thinking.
-
Very nice,I have made several out of Osage to replace the cheap ones but may try that on the next one. :) Love it. :) Handy/durable and looks good to boot, hard to beat that. :)

Yeah! You handled that real well.

I love making file handles. I save every piece of scrap osage that has a handle length in it, much better than throwing it on the burn pile.
You can make two ferrules out of a 35 cent copper pipe coupler from Lowe's by cutting it in half.
There is something about turning wood on a lathe that is relaxing and therapeutic.

Dang, Eric! You can make the simplelist looking things look like art.
-
Yes Eric, really nice handle! Nicer than anything you could buy.
-
I like the antler handles Frank. Glad to see you posting!
Nice work Eric!
