I put the word out to a few friends to watch for road-killed snakes. A buddy from western KY picked these up and froze them for me.. Skinnnit!
I know what they are, just thought I'd put these up for discussion..

I assume you're in the southeast. From left to right: Northern water snake, rat snake, king snake, and racer.
-
I think you mean left to right? Not a gopher or pine but it is a constrictor.
-
Bonus, the tread marks could make some interesting character.

You're right... I fixed it.

Poor snakies. Yeah, the gray rats integrade with the black rat snakes and yellow rat snakes. All the same genus though
-
It's a black ratsnake, aka, cowsucker, chicken snake. It does have more light color to it than most...
The kingsnake is the largest I've ever seen, 46 inches..
-
Nice bunch of skins. How long is the black rat snake?
-
The rat snake is just shy of 60"
-
I know someone who is sinew backing a bow right now that might want to trade you something for that rat or king snake ::) ::) :)

They are all good snakes

That black one with the gold "lace" (for lack of a better word) would make a gorgeous bow.
