Title: I started giving away my copper tools

were do you find the nice chert you use??? I am having a hard time finding good stuff!! You do great work with abo I don't blame you!

I am just very lucky to live on ground that has two little creeks with great flint out crops. The really good stuff is very hard to come by and is usually pink. This white is in an area with no iron deposits. If you live in Mo there should br lots of good rock around there.

kinda was thinking the same thing. Not knock down those that use copper but I just don't feel compelled to switch back and fourth.  I have been ABO for about 2 years I think I have completely adopted that mode and direction as a knapper. Funny thought here...if I give my copper tools to my club members I will be surrounded by copper knappers lol.
