  Perhaps a sorta slow guy here, but can I ask the purpose of having the hafting notches so far up the blade?  Isn`t the "norm" a little  (LOT?) closer to the base?   It`s a great blade w/ nice coloration & shaping, but the notching throws me on this one??

I'd go with knife. To nice of a blade to waste on a spear. Nice work..
