Nicely done! I'm not a big fan of a cut in shelf, but that one is very nice. Very excellent gift. I was sure proud to give my Dad a bow before he died.

Why do you say it's an asymmetrical bow? Is one limb longer? I'm also guessing it's a stave bow, judging by the cambium on the back?

Thanks Smoke and adb, yes the upper limb is 1 1/2'' longer and it was a stave bow. First asymmetrical bow I made. The arrow sets closer to the center of the 68".

Thank you bow101, Carson and Mohawk13... Forgot to mention that although my Dad is Superman at 75 and very active he draws to the first knuckle of his thumb, somewhere near 24" and should be in the low 40's on weight. Will put up pics of him at full draw on Christmas if everything goes as planned.

Now that is a special xmas present. Can tell from looking at it in the pics that you spent alot of time smoothing out the details on that bow. Nice work, that should make your dads christmas extra nice. Oh and nice looking bend too.
