Title: Still my favorite bow so far.
Post by: TimPotter on October 24, 2013, 06:27:37 am
While waiting for my computer glitches to be fixed I thought I'd share with you another bow I made some years back. It is an elm Møllegabet type bow with slight recurved tips. It is 70"L and 85# at 28". It is also my longest shooter to date. I have a 283 yard length field across the street from my house with woods beyond then a river and I have lost several nice arrows of various types; 2 were broadhead hunting arrows. I even took to painting my arrows bright orange and still lost them. Anyways thanks for looking. Oh the bow is all wood no backing just a black lacquer paint and gold leaf with metallic red accents.

And full draw. I'm starting to work with this bow again to build my strength back up.

Nice elegant lines, and I really like the artwork.  That's a heavy sunugun not surprised you've given some arrows to the woods :)
