Title: basic archery ?s
Post by: Tom Kurth on September 14, 2013, 06:48:11 pm
As I mentioned elsewhere, I'm a woodworker playing at bowyery. By no means am I either archer or hunter. So, I'm looking for some really basic info here. I went out this afternoon to shoot a bow I'm working on. Went to the local ballpark and shot foul pole to foul pole. One shot was different than any other. When the arrow released it almost disappeared from sight, meaning it went perfectly straight along my sightline. Most of my shots I can see the arrow 'waggle' away from me. It also, apparently, flew much further that any other. I don't really know for sure because I couldn't find it. I think it must have made it into the adjacent soybean field which means it traveled a good twenty yards further than any other shot. Any explanations greatly appreciated--or directions to basic archery info.

Thanks,
Tom

Sounds like that is the arrow you should copy if you can find it.  ;)
