Very quick question:  Will a black tupelo/gum make a good bow or use it for outside fire?

That's what I thought, Pat. Going to try.  Only thing can happen is to learn, it will work or blow that bad boy up!  Won't be the first and not the last.  Thanks

It makes a great bow actually but very tough to work!  It bends very well and is strong. It ranks up alongside hickory and Elm in my opinion
