This is my hiking staff.
This is why I was so interested on the carved bows I saw from halfeye. I love carving wood especially with celtic motifs.

That is nice!! You must have a lot of scars.

Scars? No, not really... ???

:o WOW

If I was to try that I would be covered in Band-aids in 10 minutes. Very nice work.

That's amazing! I've always wanted to learn how to carve. Maybe I'll start someday. ::)
Don't be offended when this gets transferred to the 'Around the Campfire" section.

That's awesome! Probably want to post this in "around the campfire", though. It'll get moved...

Nice work. What clan? I can't quite make out the crest. I have 2 bows to finish ,then the next will be a tip of the hat to my bow toting, horse riding ,border reiving ancestors. Very excited to get to that one. Extensive carvings on that one too. :D

Thanks everyone for the compliments! :)

hey, what tools do you use to get under the wood like that and carve out the inside? I have a piece I'm working on that has a double helix, and I really want to hollow out the inside and have it looking like an actual double helix. Do you use gouges?

Very nice!

That is GORGEOUS, and its always nice to see someone else who loves celtic art, especially knotwork.
I just wish I had your skill. I've been considering making a walking stick to, maybe it will be good practice.
