I would use it if I had access to a bison farm

Does $10 a horn sound reasonable?

If its good quality horn yes..that would be a steal...send me some please ;D

You are'nt going to get it any cheaper than that unless it's given to you. That's dirt cheap. It all depends on quality and length. The shorter cow horns will be the cheapest.Your longer[15 to 16 inch outside curve measured no twist bull horns I'm sure he'll want more for].Buy em up.They should'nt hang around long.I'd like some buffalo back leg sinew myself.

I would say that it would be very usable. This post seems to show...http://www.primitivearcher.com/smf/index.php/topic,39711.0.html

Can someone give me a quick lesson in how to tell a good horn from a door stop? At the moment I'll just be using it for tips.

They're all good. Whether you use them for tips, strips, powder horns, spoons, forks, combs, rum kegs or drinking vessels.

Thanks
