Hello guys!
Just have to post a link to some pictures and videos of this years bowyers camp
at Skurven, Helgøya Island, Lake Mjøsa, Norway:
We were 15 people all in all, 3 guests from Finland, and the rest from all over Norway.
Nidrinr had made a price holmegaard bow, that went to the person who shot longest with
a primitive arrow made only from materials found on the island.
Our Finnish friend Mikke won it with a beautiful stoneage arrow made from a sapling,
seagull feathers, knapped arrowhead, and all fastened with pine resin, coal & blood secured with nettle string.
Would you believe he shoot over 200 metres with that thing? :o

(Scroll down).
We also had a fantastic "Paintball" shootout, but with bows and arrows instead:

Sure looks like it was a good time. I loved the photos of the campfire at twilight with the lake in the background. Simply beautiful, I could almost smell the woodsmoke.

What was the set up for the Paintarrow game? Low poundage bows I am sure, but what did you cap the arrows with. We did something similar years ago and used black rubber labatory stoppers from science class. It still hurt when it hit.
