Thanks guys. This bow wasnt too hard to make. Its the first russian olive that I left the sapwood on the back. Sure wished I did it before! Looks beautiful that way! Anyway has about 1 1/2" set and shoots a 500 in the high 150's. Even if it didnt I wouldnt care. Its one stunning bow to hold!

Enough dipsy-doodles in those limbs that I feel a little car-sick from looking at it! Nice work.
-
Beautiful bow! Is that the same tree that's kind of an invasive shrub?
-
Beautiful bow, I love the Russian Olive wood.

That's a lovely bow with nice character. Russian olive? Never heard about it. It looks like laburnum. :-)

Cool looking bow!
I've just got back from a rock climbing trip to Spain , the place where we were staying was right in the middle of a huge olive grove! They were using olive as firewood!!!! I was like 'man i've got to have a piece' so cut a chunk off a log and brought it home, it will do for overlays etc. It was such a shame I couldn't have got a stave of it. Very dense beautiful wood. :)

Hrothgar,
Noy sure about the invasive specie shrub but it makes sense to me. They look like they have exploded all over the place here.
