Title: Who has shipped trade bows?
Post by: PEARL DRUMS on July 12, 2013, 04:27:37 pm: Please, anybody that has shipped your trade bow send me a PM saying so. Im going to start checking names off. Its getting within a month of the deadline, lets get 'em moving guys! We have a pretty gnarly posse riled up, best get shipping!

If you are one of those folks that are never on time you may not be allowed in future swaps. Its not personal, its not an attack. Its simply not fair for the receiver to anxiously await a gift that will never be there on time, if at all for some of us. Swaps require a lot of effort and chasing folks down isn't cool or fun for the swap administrators. Every swap has a few that never ship and somebody else has to make up for them. I personally have made up for 3 folks in 18 months, I felt qualified to type this message. Crap happens to us all, but not every swap for every season. Please understand this isn't an attack on your personality or your contribution to this site. Tardy sucks for all involved but the giver....period.

PM me if you have any issues or questions and thanks for reading.

I felt bad when the date started slipping away from me and there is no worse feeling than when you really want to get it done but you just aren't getting to it or just haven't had much time. If you're having issues with bows breaking then just go for something simple, and if you still have time then you can go for another one that's more complex. For the red oak trade I tried so many complex designs and all of them failed, so finally I made a simple design and it went great. If it's time you're having an issue with then all I can advise it to take any time you can if you can to work on your trade bow. Good luck with you bows you all!
