I've been trying to get away from always making a shouldered point...then point of the month is a TTail...anyway, here are some I've made lately. Kinda embarrased to post after the posts of beauty yesterday. But here goes. First is a pic of all the stone, not obs, that I have made this summer. See the transition to a more triangular point. ???
I love the hornstone. I've been pisking up pieces that I had thrown down and try again. One of my buddies started me on that on the fourth. Anyway, the big preform I made in the Smokies a couple of weeks ago. The "greenbriar" I made from a short fat piece I had trown down. a couple of well thought out purcussions and it was workable again. ;D The other I made this morning out of another fat piece. If I would have left it shouldered it would have been bigger. I remember when notching seemed so easy and was the one thing that made my rocks look like points. I feel like I struggle with it now. I used a horseshoe nail flaker today.
Thanks for lookin and replyin if you feel so inclined, dpgratz

I think your doing great! you keep getting better and better. I like the variety and scale change. That preform looks like good work also. They look like the points in that video I posted from the arrowhead hunter. Would be cool to see you you take a deer with one.
