Title: Bone Suppliers?
Post by: Jacob Parnell on July 06, 2013, 11:32:33 am
Hey!

Since I a do not hunt, I was wondering where I could get some bone to make a knife or some arrowheads.
Thanks!

Jacob

Try Moscow Hide and Fur. They're in Idaho and have an online store at www.hideandfur.com

Also you can get boiled, and bleached bone at pet stores.  Saves a lot of cleaning, and such. ;)  Plus you get to pick through what you want, and not have to wait and see what you get in the mail. ;) 8)

Remember, bone is stronger when it is raw.  After cooking, even lightly cooking, it becomes much more brittle.

Always wear a respirator when working with bone, the dust can cause serious damage to your lungs.
