I would like to dye some twine dark brown or black. Anyone ever do this?
-
Never done it, but you can try some fabric dye, same stuff used for ty dye shirts......... ;)

My wife has used it on fabric, but she says it comes out easily.

I would give RIT dye a try. Just make sure you "set" the dye with white vinegar.
-
I would try leather dye, like Feibing's or Lincoln's. It has worked on everything I have tried it on so far.

Jute twine seems to have an oil finish to it. You might try using alcohol with the dye so it will cut that oil.
Also check out Hobby Lobby, etc for colored jute twine.

I was at Michael's with my wife the other day and they had dark brown, natural, green and black twisted jute.

Thanks guys.
