Had this sliver of osage kicking around.
It's not perfect, the top limb could have just a bit more bend.
1"@ handle to 3/4"@ tips with knots, humps, dips and bumps.
48" ntn
45 lbs @ 24" [came in a little lest then I wanted].
Was going to back with sinew but will save that for a better piece.
Will paint it up after shooting it more.
Thanks for looking.

The brace picture looks strange with the line on the garage.

Is there a deflex bump right below the handle or is it a hinge? I like it. Nice job! I do that with locust.. and give it away.

Dang it Don that bow makes me salivate.
-
Nice shorty! Tiller looks spot on to me. Nice bow.
-
That is one sweet sliver.
-
Real nice bend, Don. :)

So it came in a little bit under the weight you wanted. Shucks. But at 45#, there is plenty of horsepower necessary for any deer you run across. In fact, it's ease of draw will mean you are willing to spend more time practicing with it so that in the end you will have even better arrow placement!
You got something to be proud of there. The saliva that sliver inspires is an epic flood!

Thanks all.
It's fun to take these sticks that should be made into walking stick or fire wood
and try to make into a bow. Sometimes it works sometimes not.

That is an awesome little bow right there. Great job on it.

Man Don thats a smooth tiller and a tough looking piece of sage to get it out of. Great job and a fine looking bow too.
-
I just love it when a guy takes a questionable piece of wood and creates a beautiful bow out of it! You sure did it there! Good job on that one!

awesome work!

A bow like that is on top of my list for most useful and fun! I'm working on a similar one now after having given one as a gift, recently. Just a little longer at 50" with a knot and a much more pronounced kink by the handle. Kinda a junk piece of Osage, but, I know it will make a bow that I enjoy as much if not more than some of the beautiful stave bows.
Great job!

I love it, especially the side profile look of that bow. So thin, so wavy, so bowness!
