Title: knife for trade
Post by: killir duck on April 21, 2013, 05:56:58 pm
I forged this knife from a farriers rasp it's 9 7/8" long, latigo leather handles, good heavy knife. i don't have a sheath for it but if you want i can make one up for it I make all my sheaths from heavy veg. tan leather a double stitched with artificial sinew. i really like this knife but being a custom knife maker and knife collector i have way to many knives.

(*for reference only* I would normally sell a knife like this for around $80)

in trade i'm looking for seasoned staves preferably osage or black locust (neither grows up here in MT), i would also consider seasoned elm or HHB staves. would also like to have a pair of osage billets. thanks

I have Osage,Black locus, red elm, hickory, walnut, hackberry, and getting ready to cut down some dogwood and persimon. Osage and black locus are only season for one year cut 04/2012. The osage has 1/4 growth rings. Let me know.
